When using the Video input app in a Playlist, it immediately enables the monitor's option for fast-switching between two input signals; the NEC MediaPlayer (Compute Module) and HDMI1 or DisplayPort1 (depending on the input selected for the Playlist). When fast-switching is enabled, only the Compute Module and HDMI1/DisplayPort1 inputs are available.

Press the MENU button on the IR remote control to open the OSD menu.
-
Go to the [MULTI-INPUT] menu.
-
Go to [INPUT CHANGE].
-
Highlight [NORMAL] and then press the SET button on the IR remote control.

The NEC MediaPlayer does not rotate content to match the monitor's installation orientation.
For example, if your monitor is installed in the portrait orientation and your content is landscape, the content will appear on-screen on its side. The NEC MediaPlayer does not detect the orientation of your content and rotate it to match it to the screen orientation. You must create content in the desired orientation for it to show in the correct orientation on the screen.
When creating content, the NEC MediaPlayer supports Landscape resolutions up to 1920x1080 and Portrait resolutions up to 1080x1920.
You can use a third party software to create content you want to play on your NEC MediaPlayer device. Please see the Supported file formats for the specifications you will need to create the media (such as the video and audio codec, resolution, fps, file type, etc.).
If you do not have software that you usually use to create video content, several popular free applications are available online:
-
HitFilm Express (Mac, Windows)
-
VideoPad (Mac, Windows)
-
DaVinci Resolve (Mac, Linux, Windows)
-
Shotcut (Mac, Linux, Windows)
-
Apple iMovie (Mac)
-
VSDC (Windows)
Note: while we have provided the above list of the most common free media creation applications available, we are not liable for any damages that may occur from using the online software or downloading and installing an application onto a computer.
Either the video was created using a video codec that is not supported, or the NEC MediaPlayer cannot read the file. The video file can be transcoded to a supported format using third-party software.
Please see the Supported file formats for the supported video codecs (H.264 is recommended).
The option for the Compute Module to control the monitor must be enabled in the monitor's OSD menu for the NEC MediaPlayer to be able to control items such as the monitor's screen brightness, sound level, or display information such as the monitor's model, firmware version, and serial number.
Note: OSD menu monitor controls may have different labels or be organized differently based on model. Please refer to the OSD monitor controls table in the product manual for the location of these controls.

First, try to unlink and then relink the NEC MediaPlayer from the NEC MediaPlayer network.
-
Go to Settings []in the NEC MediaPlayer.
-
Go to [Browser Client].

Select [Unlink this device from the NEC MediaPlayer network].

-
When the reboot is complete, the NEC MediaPlayer can be accessed via a web browser and managed from the Browser Client. It can also be added to a NEC MediaPlayer network.
Note: if the above steps do not work, you will need to perform a factory reset. If a factory reset is required, all media files and playlists on the internal storage and any preferences and settings are cleared.
Only simple web pages are supported. Web pages containing pop-ups, scripting, intensive video and animations may cause degraded performance and cause the NEC MediaPlayer to restart.
